PassField and website privacy

This policy covers the Password Field Inspector extension and website. Questions about data can be sent to support@passfield.ru.

Extension

The extension changes the password field type inside the browser. It does not read field values, access saved passwords, send network requests, or include analytics or advertising.

It processes page elements locally to find password inputs. The current page URL is used locally to show the site in the popup and apply exact-origin rules. The selected mode, site origins, and behavior switches are saved in local extension storage. Temporary per-tab overrides use session storage and are cleared on navigation or browser restart. You can remove saved preferences with Reset defaults or by uninstalling the extension.

Extension data is not transmitted, sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used beyond the extension's single purpose. Our use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The extension does not execute remote code.

Website

The site loads Yandex Metrica immediately when a page opens. Session Replay and session recording are disabled. Metrica processes technical request and device information, including network address, browser and device type, page, referrer, and site events.

The counter records visits and the cta_opera_store, cta_firefox_store, cta_edge_store, download_zip, language_switch, and support_email goals. These data help assess browser demand and installation paths.

Cookies and local storage

Yandex Metrica may set cookies including _ym_uid, _ym_d, _ym_isad, and _ym_metrika_enabled, and may also use localStorage to distinguish visitors and provide statistics. The site's own code stores only the dismissed-state of the informational notice in localStorage.

Support messages

The site has no form or user accounts. The support link opens your mail application; your sender address and message content are processed by mail providers so the request can be answered.

Third-party service

Site statistics are processed by Yandex Metrica under its terms of use. To request access, correction, or deletion of data associated with you, email the support address.

Two products on one website

This policy covers Password Field Inspector and the shared PassField + PostField website. The PostField extension has a separate policy: it sends addresses to your selected provider. PostField policy.

To measure navigation, this site sends product, browser and action (view, store or ZIP) as Metrica goal and visit parameters. Demo field contents and addresses are not sent. The product_open goal means a product page click; existing installation and download goals remain in use.
